Rod Hinze has over 25 years of experience in public and private real estate transactions in the U.S., Europe, and Latin America. Rod was an investment banker at Bear, Stearns & Co. in the mergers and acquisitions group. He then worked at Goldman Sachs as part of the Merchant Banking division, in the real estate principal investment area (REPIA), with a focus on public and private investments.
Rod founded KeyPoint Capital Management, a real estate investment fund, with a focus on public REITs and public real estate-related investments. Hinze Capital was formed in 2014 to acquire distressed real estate properties. HC currently has 22 self-storage properties and 1 mobile home park under ownership and management.
Rod has a BS and Masters in Accounting from Brigham Young University. He lives in Dallas, TX with his wife Jen and their four kids, where he is very active in his community in various philanthropic endeavors.
